NAWBO is empowered by its mission to STRENGTHEN the wealth-creating capacity of our members and promote economic development, CREATE innovative and effective changes in the business culture, BUILD strategic alliances, coalitions, and affiliations and TRANSFORM public policy and influence opinion. With one in every 11 adult women becoming an entrepreneur, NAWBO Greater Memphis chapter will continue to uphold its mission statement for the promotion and growth of women owned businesses.
Women owned businesses represent 10.4 million U.S. firms, employing more than 12.8 million people and reflecting $1.9 trillion in annual sales. In essence, women own one-third of all businesses worldwide. Majority women-owned firms continue to grow at around two times the rates of all firms.
Over the years women-owned businesses have made many accomplishments but there are so many more plateaus to reach. This year we encourage you to join OUR JOURNEY: THE ROAD TO SUCCESS! Join us for our monthly luncheon meetings, activities and events to learn more and to become more.
